I love how beautiful and unique each patient’s smile is. More than anything, I enjoy helping patients feel confident and love their own smiles!

Getting to know each patient I meet–whether we laugh, console, or reminisce! It is a joy to meet new people and to hear stories about their lives…and to hear singing all around the office!

What do you do with your time off?
On my time off, I love taking my daughter on walks or drives all around this beautiful state. I love being with my friends and family, reading, being outdoors, and spur-of-the-moment road trips!

How long have you been with Monroe Smiles?
Since February 2019.

Why do you do what you do?
Growing up I loved going to the dentist, unlike most people who thought I was out of my mind! Now, I get to have an impact on the dental experience of other people. I enjoy helping patients have the most comfortable and enjoyable visit they’ve ever had at the dentist, from the first time they call the office to the moment they step out the door. Oral hygiene is incredibly important for overall health, so it’s rewarding for me to have a part in their journey.

What do you love about your work?
Although most days working here at Monroe Smiles are very busy, it doesn’t feel like work at all. The culture of our office is amazing. We’re a family and laughter is always welcome!

What do you do with your time off?
I love spending time with my two children, and family and friends. On top of that, doing almost anything outdoors brings me happiness. Adventures like camping, hiking, baseball, soccer, swimming and riding our quads.

How long have you been with Monroe Smiles?
Since July 2018.

Why do you do what you do?
I made the change to front office after being an assistant for many years. I enjoy being able to help explain both the clinical and financial aspects of treatment and helping patients make informed decisions. I also enjoy creating processes to help our office be more efficient and productive.

What do you love about your work?
From a patient’s perspective, the specifics of a dental appointment can be complex. And insurance is similarly confusing! I love being able to simplify the details, helping our patients to have an informed experience, free of the anxiety that can be typical in our industry.

What do you do with your time off?
I love being busy – people would say I never sit still! I have a serious passion for crafting. When I’m not at work there’s a good chance I’m wearing a sweatshirt I made especially for me. I also love being outdoors and spending time with my family hunting, fishing and camping. Is it deer season yet??

Since November 2018.

Why do you do what you do?
Working in the dental field has opened my eyes to how important oral health is and how it impacts the health of the whole body. It’s so rewarding knowing that I am helping to keep our patients healthy.

What do you love about your work?
The dental industry fascinates me, but Monroe Smiles in particular, is a fabulous place to work. I am so thankful to be a part of such a caring and energized team of amazing individuals.

What do you do with your time off?
I enjoy going to the gym, listening to music, watching movies, reading and relaxing with loved ones. My daughter is always number one on my list which means I do a lot of arts, crafts and cartoons. I also love the outdoors and all the PNW stuff that goes with it, like snowboarding, roller skating, chopping firewood, shooting, hiking, 4 wheeling and wearing Carhartt and flannel.

How long have you been with Monroe Smiles?
Since May 2018.

Why do you do what you do?
After spending much of my childhood and early adult life with mis-aligned teeth, a dental transformation enabled me to smile with confidence and triggered a new-found interest in dentistry.

What do you love about your work?
It’s easy to come to work every day when you work with such a great team! I love getting to meet new people and helping them achieve a beautiful smile.

What do you do with your time off?
When I am away from the office, you might find me at my favorite Mexican restaurant with a cocktail in hand or at an NHRA drag race. I love hanging out with friends and family, traveling to new places with my husband and daughter, and an occasional spur of the moment trip to the casino.

What do you do with your time off?
On my days off, I would be no where other than with my family. My husband, my daughter and I spend lots of time at Hood Canal and love to fly fish. We take our two German Shorthair Pointers with us on almost every adventure.

How long have you been with Monroe Smiles?
Since November 2015.

Why do you do what you do?
I chose to become a dental hygienist because I wanted to help people and because I grew up having problems with my own teeth. I wanted to help educate people so that they can have healthy teeth for a lifetime.

What do you love about your work?
I love helping people to achieve healthy gums and teeth…which helps them to be healthier overall! I also love having the opportunity to get to know my patients and their families.

What do you do with your time off?
When I’m not at work, I like to hike, camp (well, maybe more like “glamp”), go boating, read, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why do you do what you do?
Many industries have a stigma attached to them, and dentistry is no exception. I love having the opportunity to change people’s perceptions. When a patient comes to our office, they have a totally unique, enjoyable, and unexpected experience. And our online patient reviews are a testament to that.

What do you love about your work?
I love our team. They are fun, competent, and passionate. We have a blast working together. And yes, practical jokes are involved. I also love the satisfaction of knowing our patients are receiving dental care that is second to none, in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

What do you do with your time off?
That’s none of your business, and I’ll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs. Just kidding! I love golfing, reading, traveling, watching movies, road trips with my wife, and hanging out and playing games with my kids (X4). I like spending time in California in the winter, and then in the summer, I like to spend time in California.
