Why do you do what you do?
I like being busy and always having something to do, and I love working with people.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love the diverse patient population in our office. Each patient that comes in is different which adds a unique dimension to the day.
 
What do you do with your time off?
I love working out, playing with my dog, going to Mexican rodeos, having drinks with friends, dancing and singing and spending time with my family.

Why do you do what you do?
I love how beautiful and unique each patient’s smile is. More than anything, I enjoy helping patients feel confident and love their own smiles!
 
What do you love about your work?
Getting to know each patient I meet–whether we laugh, console, or reminisce! It is a joy to meet new people and to hear stories about their lives…and to hear singing all around the office!
 
What do you do with your time off?
On my time off, I love taking my daughter on walks or drives all around this beautiful state. I love being with my friends and family, reading, being outdoors, and spur-of-the-moment road trips!

 

Emily – Patient Care Coordinator

Why do you do what you do?
It makes me happy and I get to help others have a reason to smile.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love getting to meet new people every day. And as a bonus, I get to be in such a fun and loving environment!
 
What do you do with your time off?
When I’m not at work, I’m most likely at home or somewhere with my dog, Mckee Dee. I love shopping, going out with friends and spending time with my family. I’m always in the mood for a good movie, cheeseburger or re-watching “The Office” for the twentieth time.

 

Kaitlynn – Registered Dental Assistant

Since October 2020 (I loved it so much I came back!).
 
Why do you do what you do?
Dental visits can be intimidating for a lot of people. Being able to ease their anxiety and help create a positive experience and educate them about their oral health is very rewarding.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love the positive family environment, the continuous improvement and the education offered to ourselves and our patients.
 
What do you do with your time off?
I spend time with my husband, Hayden, our two dogs and my family. I’ve also been known to line dance and spend time at the gym, but I can’t confirm or deny that.

 

Kari – Scheduling Coordinator

I am certified in the Pashto language through the US Airforce. That doesn’t involve dentistry, but it looks good on paper. Who am I kidding? No it doesn’t…

Why do you do what you do?
Working in the dental field has opened my eyes to how important oral health is and how it impacts the health of the whole body. It’s so rewarding knowing that I am helping to keep our patients healthy.
 
What do you love about your work?
The dental industry fascinates me, but Monroe Smiles in particular, is a fabulous place to work. I am so thankful to be a part of such a caring and energized team of amazing individuals.
 
What do you do with your time off?
I enjoy going to the gym, listening to music, watching movies, reading and relaxing with loved ones. My daughter is always number one on my list which means I do a lot of arts, crafts and cartoons. I also love the outdoors and all the PNW stuff that goes with it, like snowboarding, roller skating, chopping firewood, shooting, hiking, 4 wheeling and wearing Carhartt and flannel.

Why do you do what you do?
After spending much of my childhood and early adult life with mis-aligned teeth, a dental transformation enabled me to smile with confidence and triggered a new-found interest in dentistry.
 
What do you love about your work?
It’s easy to come to work every day when you work with such a great team! I love getting to meet new people and helping them achieve a beautiful smile.
 
What do you do with your time off?
When I am away from the office, you might find me at my favorite Mexican restaurant with a cocktail in hand or at an NHRA drag race. I love hanging out with friends and family, traveling to new places with my husband and daughter, and an occasional spur of the moment trip to the casino.

Why do you do what you do?
I have been in the dental profession in some capacity for 20 years. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I enjoy being part of a profession that cares not only for your mouth but your total well-being.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love being able to encourage and educate patients to be in their best health possible. Being a dental hygienist, I get to establish relationships with my patients, and I look forward not only to providing dental care but also getting to know about their families and lives!
 
What do you do with your time off?
I love to tackle DIY design projects around our home with my husband. We also love to take our 4-year-old daughter on adventures around the PNW, and you can often find us hanging out in Cle Elum with family. Any chance we get, we root-on either the Seahawks, Mariners or Huskies!

Why do you do what you do?
I love dental hygiene! Not too many people get to say they LOVE what they do for work. I feel very fortunate.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love being an educator, a motivator, a health care provider and most of all, a team player. I also love creating lasting relationships with the many wonderful patients we see each day.
 
What do you do with your time off?
On my days off, I would be no where other than with my family. My husband, my daughter and I spend lots of time at Hood Canal and love to fly fish. We take our two German Shorthair Pointers with us on almost every adventure.

Why do you do what you do? Working in an office setting is my second home! Being part of a team who is doing work that matters and helping patients become healthier makes me smile.
 
What do you love about your work? I am fairly new to the dental world, and so far, it has been an incredible learning experience. We have a positive and encouraging atmosphere, and I get to share in providing exceptional care for each patient. I actually love coming to work!
 
What do you do with your time off? On my time off, I like to surround myself with family and friends who matter most, whether it is going hiking, playing sports, board games or simply enjoying a movie. I love traveling to new places, meeting new people and seeing what this world has to offer.

Why do you do what you do?
I’m naturally a compassionate person, and my heart goes out to those in need. Being in an environment where I’m able to have a part in helping people turn their health around and improve their lives is incredibly fulfilling.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love the people I work with. It sounds cliché, but in my case it’s true! We actually enjoy each other’s company. As a team we work hard and deliver top-notch care to our patients while managing to have fun at the same time.
 
What do you do with your time off?
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and my mob of children. As a family, we are very involved in our church and have a passion for volunteering in our community. In our down time, we love spending time outdoors and camping, but you can just as easily find us huddled together in front of a good movie.

Why do you do what you do?
I chose to become a dental hygienist because I wanted to help people and because I grew up having problems with my own teeth. I wanted to help educate people so that they can have healthy teeth for a lifetime.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love helping people to achieve healthy gums and teeth…which helps them to be healthier overall! I also love having the opportunity to get to know my patients and their families.
 
What do you do with your time off?
When I’m not at work, I like to hike, camp (well, maybe more like “glamp”), go boating, read, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why do you do what you do?
Many industries have a stigma attached to them, and dentistry is no exception. I love having the opportunity to change people’s perceptions. When a patient comes to our office, they have a totally unique, enjoyable, and unexpected experience. And our online patient reviews are a testament to that.
 
What do you love about your work?
I love our team. They are fun, competent, and passionate. We have a blast working together. And yes, practical jokes are involved. I also love the satisfaction of knowing our patients are receiving dental care that is second to none, in a relaxing and comfortable environment.
 
What do you do with your time off?
That’s none of your business, and I’ll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs. Just kidding! I love golfing, reading, traveling, watching movies, road trips with my wife, and hanging out and playing games with my kids (X4). I like spending time in California in the winter, and then in the summer, I like to spend time in California.

I was first interested in dentistry when I was younger. It has always fascinated me and unlike most kids, I loved going to the dentist.

I love helping people and making them feel better. Not only with their health but having an impact on their confidence, too. And I love the team I work with!

I enjoy taking my dogs jeeping and hiking and taking cinematic videos/photos of our adventures.
